Mike Kappus is a Blues Hall of Fame inductee whose 25 year relationship with John Lee Hooker included his acting as Hooker’s agent and manager and as executive producer of all Hooker’s recordings from his comeback with GRAMMY-winning Gold Record, The Healer, until his passing in 2001. Kappus has been awarded the Keeping the Blues Alive award multiple times by the Blues Foundation and represented 19 Blues Hall of Fame inductees including Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Robert Cray, Mavis Staples, John Hammond, Charlie Musselwhite and many more.
