Did your students contribute to the multi-billion dollar video game industry last year? Help them discover how to make a career out of this growing industry as we reveal the creative process of creating sounds for video game elements such as dialogue, character sounds, fictional weapons, spaceships, and more. Students will learn how sounds are strategically placed to evoke emotion in the player as well as how and when to insert sounds to make games more realistic. Recommended for grades 7+.


This program is presented in partnership with the Delta Music Institute Entertainment Industry Program at Delta State University. The DMI is an independent center under the College of Arts & Sciences at Delta State University with its mission to provide students with a broad and thorough education in the technological, creative, and business areas of the entertainment industries.
