7:30 p.m. Presentation by Jude Southerland Kessler – Delta Music Institute Studio A

"Lennon’s Liverpool”:  Jude Southerland Kessler, author of The John Lennon Series will take guests on a virtual tour of Liverpool in the 1950’s and early 1960’s and trace the birth of The Beatles.

8:15 p.m. Presentation by Ivor Davis, Author of The Beatles and Me On Tour – Delta Music Institute Studio A

9:00 p.m. Book Signing 

The weekend's presenting authors will sign their books after the presentations; all artists will be present to sign/sell prints and meet the public.


 

Saturday, April 2, 2016 at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi

8:00 a.m. Registration and Welcome – GMM Front Porch & Lobby

Welcome with coffee & a chance to meet all authors who will be in their booths in the lobby.

9:00 a.m. Panel Discussion and Presentation – Sanders Sound Stage at GMM

"Beatleness:  How The Beatles and Their Fans Remade the World."  Dr. Candy Leonard will present an overview of her book Beatleness and moderate a discussion with first-generation fans.

10:00 a.m.  Exhibit Tour

Bruce Spizer will give a tour of artifacts in the “Ladies & Gentlemen: The Beatles!” exhibit. 

10:30 a.m.  Coffee with Dr. Kit O'Toole – GMM Lobby

The author of Songs We Were Singing: Guided Tours Through The Beatles' Lesser-Known Tracks will give a presentation on "10 Beatles Sounds That Changed the World."

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Food available for purchase on Museum grounds

11:00 a.m.  Artist "Tour" with Enoch Doyle Jeter – GMM Lobby

Guided tour of Jeter's 14 giclées of With The Beatles LP, each song uniquely depicted. These were featured in She Loves You, Vol. 3 in The John Lennon Series. Jeter's cover work for Dr. Kit O'Toole's Songs We Were Singing is also represented in the exhibit.

12:00 p.m. Presentation by Lanea Stagg – Sanders Sound Stage at GMM

A presentation will be hosted by Lanea Stagg, author of The Recipe Records Series, with samples of Savoy Truffles and a history of the song. Live music will be provided by Cameron Hicks. 

1:00 p.m.  Artist "Tour" with Ken Orth – GMM Lobby

Ken will take visitors through his extensive collection of Beatles homage art works entitled “Meet the Look Alikes.” The collection boasts over 1,800 works of art.

1:30 p.m.  Presentation by Anthony Robustelli – Sanders Sound Stage at GMM

Anthony Robustelli, author of I Want to Tell You: The Definitive Guide to the Music of The Beatles, Vol. 1 will give the presentation, "Beatles Multi-Track Meltdown" (an examination of The Beatles' music by breaking it into component parts).

2:00 p.m.  Exhibit Tour

Bruce Spizer will give a tour of artifacts in the “Ladies & Gentlemen: The Beatles!” exhibit

3:00 p.m. Concert by Anthony Robustelli featuring Beatles favorites and his own original compositions. At the end of this concert, we will host the first Live GRAMMY Museum Mississippi Jam of “All You Need is Love” and “Hey Jude.” Everyone is invited to come up on stage with instruments and voices to participate!

4:30 p.m.  Film Screening of “Good Ol' Freda” plus a post-film Q&A Session with a very special guest - former Beatles fan club secretary, Freda Kelly! – Sanders Sound Stage at GMM

7:00 p.m.  Grand Finale Presentation by Bruce Spizer – Sanders Sound Stage at GMM

Bruce Spizer, author of The Beatles Story on Capitol Records (Parts 1 and 2), The Beatles Swan Song, and many more will give a presentation on "The Beatles Are Coming!”

7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  Food available for purchase on Museum grounds.

8:00 p.m.  Special concert by Beatles tribute band, The Lonely Peppers - GMM Front Porch
